Stiles’ NDP will help Scarborough families fight rising costs

TORONTO – Ontario NDP Leader Marit Stiles spoke with Scarborough families about how the NDP will fight the rising cost of living at her campaign stop in Scarborough North today. She was joined by the NDP’s candidate, Thadsha Navaneethan, a local community champion and non-profit leader.

“Families in Scarborough need a government on their side. After seven long years of Doug Ford, the cost of housing in Scarborough has skyrocketed, grocery bills are through the roof and over 100,000 people lack a family doctor.

Scarborough deserves much better.

As Premier, I will fight against rising costs to help families get ahead. Our Monthly Grocery Rebate will put money back in people’s pockets. And our Family Health Guarantee will see more doctors hired for Scarborough so we can end hallway healthcare once and for all.”

After her Scarborough visit, Stiles heads to a campaign stop in Kingston and then on to a rally with hundreds of supporters in Ottawa.

On Thursday, Stiles released the NDP platform – her plan to fight rising costs and restore the promise of Ontario.
